By using AI Security University (“AISEC,” “we,” “us” or “our”), you agree to the terms below.
01Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of aisec.university and its subdomains, our newsletter, our community, our course portal, our events, and any other services we offer (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.
02What AISEC provides
AISEC is a free, vendor-neutral AI security education platform. We publish written material, host live and recorded sessions, run a community, and offer self-paced courses. Some material is created by AISEC; some is contributed by guest instructors, speakers, and community members. We try hard to keep everything accurate and current, but the field moves quickly and we make no guarantees about completeness or future availability.
03Eligibility
AISEC is intended for adult, professional learners. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher) and that you can form a binding contract with us.
04Accounts
Some features require an account on a third-party platform we use. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.
05Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Services for any unlawful purpose, or to harm AISEC, its users, or third parties;
- copy, resell, or commercially redistribute our course content except as expressly permitted (see Section 7);
- scrape, harvest, or bulk-collect data or content from the Services;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, or test, probe, or attack the Services without our written permission;
- upload malicious code, interfere with the Services' operation, or disrupt other users;
- impersonate any person or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation;
- use the Services to send unsolicited messages, spam, or to scrape contact data;
- use AISEC material to develop offensive capabilities targeted at third parties without authorization.
We learn and teach about offensive techniques so defenders can do their jobs. Using what you learn against systems you don't own or aren't authorized to test is on you, not on us.
06Educational content — not professional advice
AISEC content is provided for general education and discussion. It is not legal, financial, compliance, or professional security advice for any specific situation. Always validate techniques and recommendations against your own environment, threat model, and applicable laws and contracts before applying them.
07Intellectual property
Our content
AISEC, IntelHero, LLC, and our licensors own the Services and all material we create — text, graphics, video, course material, logos, and code — and they're protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use AISEC material for your own learning. You may not reproduce, distribute, publicly perform, or create derivative works from our material except as expressly permitted, or as allowed by fair use / fair dealing.
Third-party frameworks and references
AISEC material references third-party standards, open-source projects, and research (for example, NIST publications, OWASP material, MITRE ATLAS, and academic papers). Those works remain the property of their respective owners and are used under their applicable licenses or for educational commentary.
Your feedback
If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Services, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use them without obligation to you.
08Community and contributed content
Some Services let you submit content — community posts, questions, comments, code, or guest articles. You retain ownership of what you submit. By submitting it, you grant AISEC a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content as part of the Services and our promotion of them, including the right to remove it.
You're responsible for what you submit. Don't submit content you don't have the rights to, don't post confidential or sensitive information, and don't post anything that violates Section 5. We may remove content or suspend access at our discretion.
09Third-party links and platforms
The Services link to and rely on third-party platforms (for example, our newsletter, course, community, webinar, and analytics providers). We don't control these platforms and aren't responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms.
10Disclaimers
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or availability. We don't warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Some jurisdictions don't allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
11Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither AISEC, IntelHero, LLC, nor any of our instructors, contributors, sponsors, or service providers will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Services — even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Services is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100).
12Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AISEC, IntelHero, LLC, and our officers, directors, employees, instructors, contributors, sponsors, and service providers from any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person or entity.
13Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the site or by email where appropriate. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [INSERT STATE], without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You and AISEC agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in [INSERT COUNTY/STATE] for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property rights.
